Introducing Simon Loche

May 2010

Simon_loche

A warm welcome to Selkirk’s newest addition to the Sales team, Simon Loche, who joins us as Business Development Manager Commercial.

Simon launched his Sales career in the FMCG industry with a beverage company. From 2002-2006, Simon spent time in the Waste/Recycling industry as Territory Manager, working his way into a Business Development Manager role. With a love for working outdoors, Simon then levitated to the building industry, spending the past four years as an account manager for James Hardie where he gained experience working with builders, designers and resellers alike.

Simon grew up in Melbourne’s northern suburbs and still enjoys the suburban lifestyle with his wife and two kids. Simon is an avid Hawks fan (we won’t hold that against him!) and believes that “sleep and coffee are overrated”.

Selkirk Roosters open the gates to a new season

April 2010

Family-Day

The Selkirk Roosters’ recently opened their gates to launch the 2010 VFL Season at their home ground, Eureka Stadium.

On Thursday 8th April, the Ballarat community were invited for an evening of friendly fun and to witness the presentation of the players jumpers by Selkirk Group of Companies CFO, Jock Selkirk.

Kids enjoyed the numerous free activities – including a coaching clinic conducted by both Selkirk Roosters and North Melbourne players, face painting, balloons, jumping castle and pony rides.

A guessing competition kept parents entertained, with a prize awarded for guessing the correct number of Selkirk bricks and pavers on the pellet.

Funds raised at the event through the Club’s Gold Coin Donation program were donated to Ballarat’s Child and Family Services.
